Woven Rosa

Woven Rosa Throws originate from the breathtaking highlands of the Sacred Valley region of Peru. Here, weaving is entwined into the culture and artisans are holding on to their ancient knowledge and techniques educating younger generations.

Weaver’s can spend weeks and sometimes months creating their artwork which is handwoven on back-strapped looms. Each loom roughly measuring 1 metre wide (depending on the arm span of the artisan) which creates woven throws with a similar width, the larger pieces are then constructed by joining two together.

The array of colours that are used in Andean textiles are all sourced from the earth, different colours tell different stories that reflect their heritage which can be traced right the way back to the Inca’s.

All of the couch throws are unique works of art and one of a kind pieces that already have so much history woven into each stitch.

Bohemia Design

Weaver Green

It all started when Tasha and Barney were travelling in Asia and stumbled across a very rudimentary fishing rope, made from unraveled plastic bottles, lids and all. Used to tether fishing boats, the rope was both strong and waterproof, and offered a moment of inspiration to the intrepid couple.

Could they take some of the mountains of plastic waste that is polluting our seas and landfill and turn it into a useful and practical yarn?

It took 7 years to create the perfect textile, that not only has the look and feel of wool, but is also machine washable, stain resistant, environmentally friendly and suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

Today, back in their Devonshire home, the inspirational couple plus the Weaver Green team are excited to offer beautiful throws , blankets, recycled rugs, footstools, cushions and bags that offer all of the benefits of plastic without any compromise in style, feel or value.
