A collection born in the Andean Mountains of Peru. A place where the local communities share a deep understanding of their land and natural surroundings. Where traditions and heritage play a dominant part in the culture. And where stories are being retold through the creative process of weaving.
The people of the Andean mountains refer to Pachamama, which translates to mother earth in the native Quechuan language. Pachamama is talked of as if she were an old friend; a notion we were excited to adopt at Woven Rosa, and we felt it was only right to call our collection after the relationship between the artisans & their homeland that they are so deeply connected to. The Pacha collection combines nature with raw beauty & talented craftsmanship.
At Woven Rosa we are proud to work alongside our talented artisan partners who have created pieces that are made to last a lifetime. The people of the Andes are resourceful; practising traditional techniques that have been passed down through generations. All of the pieces in the collection are hand spun, hand dyed & handwoven by our artisan partners.
Everything from the collection has been sourced by co-founders Laura & Tom who have searched high and low to find unique, high quality pieces. Everything is bought directly from the artisans. Laura & Tom lived in Peru where they would enjoy searching for textiles at local markets & meet artisans. They have built lasting relationships with people they can now call friends.
Our Pacha collection boasts a unique selection of rugs, throws and cushions. Discover our Pacha collection here.
